I have said thank you, but it does not seem to be enough.
Since my illness took away my ability to work , it took away something even greater. Berta and I loved running our business in Tijuana, because we were able to help so many people. We were able to pay our employees in TJ 4x’s what any other factory was paying. They worked fewer hours and we were able to pay for the education of many of our employees, including university degrees. Berta and I never did those things, expecting anything in return, but after we were forced to sell the company due to my condition, almost all of those people, whom we considered family, stopped communicating with us in short order. I won’t lie, it hurt, but occasionally we will receive an email from one of them thanking us for various reasons. The inspiration for this email is a Facebook message from a longtime employee of ours in TJ, Lulu. “Jeff, since working for you, I’ve worked in 3 other factories. I always compare them to my 11 years working with you and Berta. Nothing comes close. When I tell friends what it was like working for you, they don’t believe me. Thank you so much.” Lulu’s message was such an uplift. I want you to know how meaningful your assistance was. Not just because of the money, but because of the huge gesture of kindness from a stranger, that came exactly When we needed it most. Things may not work out exactly like we want in this case, but you gave us hope, not just in this case, but knowledge that there are still likeminded people out there. We will always be grateful. If there is ever anything we can do for you, please do not hesitate to call.Read More Reviews
